Russian Energy Agency featured with the plenary session of SPIEF 2012
On September 18th, 2012 Kirill Lugovtsov, Director General of the Russian Energy Agency will make presentation at the plenary session of the St Petersburg International Energy Forum where he is going to shed light on the issues of the state program "Energy Saving and Improvement of Energy Efficiency 2020". Federal State Institution "Russian Energy Agency" (REA), Russian Ministry of Energy was created in December 2009 on the basis of the Russian association of information resources of scientific and technological development (Association "Rosinformresurs", since 1966).
Agency's goal is in promotion the effectiveness of public policies in the field of energy efficiency and conservation, creation of common platform for interaction between market players, assistance in investment attractiveness of power industry.
The Association ensures the implementation of the Federal Law "On energy saving and improvement of energy efficiency", and the Government activities on energy efficiency, innovative energy, renewable energy sources, being a center of information exchange, monitoring, training, coordination and promotion of energy efficiency, renewable energy and innovations in the energy sector of Russian economy. Its network embraces 70 regions of Russia, and number of employees exceeds 2000 people.
