Slovakia and St. Petersburg to promote further bilateral cooperation in 2013-2015
On November 28, 2012, East European Business Club and RESTEC® Exhibition Company signed a cooperation agreement during the Meeting of joint commission on cooperation in trade and economy, science and technology, as well as in cultural and humanitarian area between St. Petersburg and the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic.
Eastern European Business Club is an independent public association, acting in the Eastern Europe with the aim of creating the best conditions for economic activity, forging business of its members and triggering international ties in terms of cooperation with government structures. Under the present agreement Slovak companies are planning to attend St. Petersburg Technical Fair 2013 and participate in matchmaking at Partneriat “St. Petersburg – Russian regions and foreign countries”, and a delegation of industrial enterprises from the north-west Russia outgoing to Slovakia.
In general, future cooperation will be focused on automotive industry and production of automotive components, mechanical engineering, woodworking industry; housing, fuel and energy; renewable energy sources, water industry, environmental protection, tourism and cultural exchange.
Earlier this month, on November 22nd, a meeting of representatives of RESTEC® Exhibition Company and Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held in PetroCongress centre with participation of Ján Mišura, Director of Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lyudmila Ivanova, Managing Director of JSC Saint-Petersburg Express, and Igor Kirsanov, Director General of RESTEC® Exhibition Company. As a result, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the aim of strengthening bilateral promotion and developing business ties between Slovakia and Russia.
