The All-Russian Furniture Summit 2014 in Moscow
The All-Russian Furniture Summit 2014 in Moscow gathers representatives of the largest companies and leading experts.
At plenary sessions and business meetings professionals discuss growth potential of the furniture industry in Russia, Europe and Asia and the global market trends. The All-Russian Furniture Summit was opened May 13. Industry professionals analysed the market situation of 2013-2014, outlined the problems and discussed the trends. Companies’ representatives and leading experts shared their opinions, experience and provided business owners with practical advice.
The All-Russian Furniture Summit is held for the first time in Moscow at the territory of All-Russian Exhibition Centre along with FIDexpo, ZOW and TEKHNODREV Furniture exhibitions.
“We succeeded in organising the whole event complex highly interesting for the industry specialists,” said Serguei Trofimov, the President of RESTEC® Group, “The modern pavilion of VVC admits exposition of furniture companies, we prepared the business programme jointly with the Association of furniture and woodworking enterprises of Russia (AMEDORO), leading experts were engaged in the project and interesting discussions were held. Previously, All-Russian Furniture Summit was held in St. Petersburg, today the project is moving onto the new level and the interaction between the furniture-related events is growing.”
“Execution of the event in Moscow and participation of top manufacturers in the Summit and the exhibitions will help drawing attention to the furniture industry,” states Alexander Shestakov, the President of AMEDORO. “Now the industry is facing a challenging time, including production decrease by 5-7% in Russia in 2013. However the furniture market is sure to show stable growth in the future.”
“Such events serve to foster development of the business ties,” pointed out Pavel Dorokhin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Industry, “Business meetings are aimed at to increase the level of Russian cooperation with Europe and Asia, and in particular with China.”
Renowned experts delivered their speeches at panel discussions and master classes in the framework of the Summit. The speakers represented the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Guild of Marketing Specialists of the Russian Federation, Institute for Regional Development, Marka Mebeli and SMP Consult companies and China National Furniture Association (CNFA).
The All-Russian Furniture Summit is to wrap up May 15, offering one more round table, conference and sales training on the final day of 2014 edition.
